Thanksgiving was over on Thursday but it feels more like it today because Michael and Navi left today and Jason had to work in the hospital all day. I got some free lounge pants at express the other day so I decided to lounge.
Mosey mostly lounged with me. He was tired after rough-housing with Michael all morning. I got some fun videos of it.

Fashion Island
Today we went to Fashion Island at Newport Beach. We didn't go early however, so there were some good deals but nothing spectacular. The best deal I got were some nice jeans for 50% off. Yay! We went to the pet store and I found some puggle puppies.
Not even CLOSE to as cute as Mosey was. But still adorable. :]

Speechless...
Today while I was talking to a friend in the living room, I heard a crunching noise on the back porch. I figured that Mosey had gotten into something so I finished my conversation and went to take a look. The 'something' that Mosey had gotten into was a lightbulb package! He happily chewed up the lightbulb until I took it away from him!!!!

Lia Sophia Meeting
Every month, I am supposed to go to my manager's house for a Lia Sophia Meeting. Today was my first meeting. Basically, we met and talked about last month's parties and if there were any problems, we talked about ways to fix them. We snacked on really good food too!
Then it was time for recognition. Each manager gave a prize to the advisor who had sold the most that month. Then they had a raffle that you got to participate in just for showing up. I won a bag of supplies. Which is great because now I don't have to buy them.
It was really fun. I wish all 'meetings' were like that.

New Clothes and Lia Sophia
Target has some really cute dog clothes. Mosey doesn't really need clothes because he lives in Southern California. But I was tempted nonetheless.
Can't say that Mosey really appreciated my spending hard earned money on him.
Today, I also had my very first Lia Sophia Party. Here is the hostess Rebeca with my jewelry on display.
I was pretty nervous at first but it went really well. It was pretty easy actually. I booked another party at Rebeca's party so along with my previously booked parties, I am in good shape for December.

Point Dume
This weekend, Jason's dad and step-mother visited us! We have had fun going out to eat and hanging out. Today we went to Point Dume in Malibu. It is a great place to hike around, walk on the beach and spot dolphins. We didn't see an dolphins but we did see a seal or two!
Here is a really pretty cove that we were able to see from the trail. Maybe next time we go to the beach, we will have to hang out at this cove.
A lot of fun!

Mr. President
I spent most of today flying home from Boston. I was worried about traveling today because I really wanted to vote. So I mailed in a ballot. Probably didn't get counted...
In Denver, I was able to see CNN call a state for Obama, even though zero percent of the counties were reporting. But it was Vermont so they were pretty sure. :] When I got home, McCain was making his very moving and gracious concession speech.
I went to bed before listening to Obama's victory speech. I have to work tomorrow! :]

Newport, Rhode Island
Today Ginger and I quasi fulfilled a dream we have both had for a long time. We went and toured one of the Newport Mansions in Newport, RI. I say quasi because our dream was actually to tour all the mansions. However, we only had time to tour one, The Breakers.
For those of you who aren't up on Gilded Age history (I wasn't really either), Newport RI is where many of the notorious rich families built their summer cottages. These rich families I am referring to are: the Vanderbilts, Rockefellers, Astors, etc. Anyway, we toured ONE OF THE Vanderbilt's summer 'cottages'.
Our tour guide talked in such an obvious 'tour guide' voice that I thought she was joking. We were also the last tour of the day and it was apparrent from her impatience at any semblence of interest we had in anything other than what that she was showing us, that she wanted to get home to her 35 cats. Here is the one picture she let us take inside....a picture of the outside. :] Here is the view from the second floor.
The inside was extremely ornate. So much so that I wondered what they did here during the summer. Not making sand castles and tree forts apparently. Here is the outside of The Breakers as we were leaving.
I was getting dark but Ginger and I didn't want to give up. We drove around the whole peninsula trying to shine our brights at the nice houses. I am sure the residents appreciated that....
