I think that I need to look back on this time in my life and remember it for what it truly is. What is it? Well, a lot of dishes.
I have decided that not having a dishwasher in the future is not an option. Here is my sink tonight before I started washing. I filled up the dry rack and a towel on the counter but I still have a lot to go. Ugh....
I swore the same thing last house we lived in. We now have a dishwasher, and I refuse to live without one ever again. See how spoiled I am? But I do have to say that something my hubby pointed out is definitely true of me, as well: If I had to choose between owning a dishwasher or a clothes washer, I'd choose the latter every time.
Our kitchen looks like that almost every night. I tackle it first thing in the morning. :)

ReplyDeleteThat's funny!
ReplyDeleteLast year, we had the same issue. Before we moved to Ithaca, I told Nick that I have two requirements: a dishwasher and a washer and dryer.
Somehow, God provided and we have both.
I must say, life is SO much better. At the same time, it's one of our few connections to our rural heritage.
Anyway, can you send me your e-mail address, I started another blog.
